Playing Skyhook
Terms of Use
These terms describe the use of Skyhook: Orbital Arcade ("Skyhook"), provided by Bo Jacobson ("we," "us," or "the developer"), and these support pages. Contact us at bjacobson26@me.com.
1. Your app license
For copies obtained through the App Store, the app license is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a separate custom license is expressly supplied through the App Store. These terms supplement that license; they do not replace it or restrict any rights it or applicable law gives you. If there is a conflict about the app license, the applicable app license controls. TestFlight use is also subject to Apple's applicable beta-testing terms.
If you are not old enough to agree to these terms under the law where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to them on your behalf. Follow the age rating and parental controls applicable to your download.
2. Playing and using the app
You may use Skyhook for personal entertainment in accordance with your app license and applicable law. Do not use the app or support channels unlawfully, interfere with their operation, bypass purchase protections, or redistribute the game or its assets without authorization. These restrictions do not prohibit uses permitted by law or an applicable open-source or third-party license.
The game, original artwork, and other content are owned by the developer or their respective licensors. Fonts, software, music, and other third-party materials remain subject to their applicable rights and licenses.
3. Progress and rewards
Progress, medals, stardust, and unlocked ships are stored locally. There is no Skyhook account or developer-operated cloud synchronization. Deleting app data, changing devices, or a software or device failure may cause progress to be lost. A local backup helps with interrupted saves but is not a guarantee of recovery.
Medals, stardust, and earned ship unlocks are game features. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred between players.
4. Ads and optional purchases
The public App Store version may show ads between completed levels. Development and TestFlight builds may use test advertisements. These features use third-party services as described in the Privacy Policy.
Remove Ads is an optional, one-time, non-consumable purchase that disables in-game advertising. It does not unlock levels or earned rewards. It is available only if the app displays an available App Store product and price. A control marked unavailable is not an offer to charge you. If a purchase is offered, Apple processes it and presents the price and confirmation before purchase. Your purchase is also governed by Apple's applicable payment and store terms and any mandatory consumer rights. Use Restore Purchases with the Apple account used for an eligible purchase. Refund requests are handled through Apple's purchase-support process.
Skyhook currently offers no recurring subscription. Future paid features, if introduced, will explain their price and conditions before you choose to buy. Nothing in these terms limits a refund or other remedy you are entitled to by law.
5. Availability, updates, and beta versions
We may update gameplay, levels, appearance, or features and may need to suspend a feature for maintenance or security. Internet-dependent services rely on their providers; availability can vary. We do not promise that every feature will remain unchanged or that the app will work on every device or future operating system.
TestFlight builds are experimental, can contain errors, and may expire. They may differ from a later public release. Any change affecting a purchased entitlement remains subject to the applicable purchase terms and mandatory consumer protections.
6. Privacy and third-party services
The Privacy Policy explains local data, support messages, Apple services, and optional ad services. Apple, Google, GitHub, and other services you choose to visit have their own terms and privacy policies. Linking to their services does not make the developer responsible for their independent practices.
7. Warranties and responsibility
The app's warranty and liability provisions are those of the applicable app license and law. To the extent permitted by law, these support pages are provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing on this page excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away your statutory consumer rights. We do not require arbitration or a class-action waiver through these supplemental terms.
8. Stopping use and changes to these terms
You can stop using Skyhook at any time. Deleting the app does not itself delete information already held by service providers or support correspondence, and does not alter Apple's purchase records. App-license termination is governed by the applicable license.
If these terms change, we will update the date above and give additional notice where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights attached to completed purchases or override mandatory law. We will seek agreement where the law requires it.
